I have been fortunate to spend my life around some of the world’s finest cars — and the remarkable people who own them.
I bought and sold my first Ferrari at the age of 20, and from an early age my background in motorsport opened doors well beyond the paddock. Over the years, I have sourced exceptional cars for private clients, celebrities and high-profile figures, while building trusted relationships with collectors, advisers and contacts across the luxury automotive world.
My career has included leading an offshore jurisdiction dealership representing Bentley, Porsche and Aston Martin, completing full marque training while growing the business and developing long-term client relationships.
Working at the top end of the market demands far more than product knowledge. It requires a deep understanding of provenance, discretion, logistics and the legal complexities of multi-jurisdictional transactions. For many clients, I have managed the full process of acquisition and disposal from start to finish, often through trusted off-market networks.
Just as important is the ability to connect naturally with people. That has always been one of my strengths — building genuine rapport with clients from all walks of life and understanding what matters to them, whether they are buying for passion, legacy, lifestyle or investment.
I have also hosted and presented launch events for marques including Porsche and Aston Martin, speaking to audiences of more than 200 guests, and have arranged special driving events, rallies and bespoke experiences for high-net-worth clients. As an early adopter of video, I also create filmed biographies and presentation-led content for significant private collections.
Unusual beginnings: Born 23rd October 1964, my early experiences revolved entirely around the glory days of F1 and motor racing. My father, Mike Beckwith, was a professional racing driver and race team owner so we travelled the world throughout the 60’s & early 70’s. He won the Marlboro 12 hour Sedan race at Marlboro Raceway in Marlboro, Maryland with Sir Jackie Stewart and drove with the likes of Graham Hill, Jack Brabham, Jim Clark, Jochen Rindt, Ireland and many more.
Many life-long friendships were formed during this time, when the paddock were considered a close-knit family, as was my passion for high performance and exotic cars. Damon Hill, the Stewart brothers, Mark Blundell and even my Godfather is a 40 year veteran at P&A Wood. These relationships have helped forge a rewarding career.
